Trackman’s TPS (Trackman Performance Studio) offers a suite of advanced practice modes designed to elevate your golf experience. Whether you’re looking to fine-tune your swing, analyze shot data, or test your skills, each mode provides unique features to help golfers of all levels improve. Below is a brief overview of each TPS practice mode available in Trackman simulators.
The Range mode recreates a virtual driving range, allowing you to hit unlimited shots with real-time feedback. Trackman’s radar technology captures ball flight and club data, displaying distances, launch angles, spin rates, and more. This mode is ideal for warming up, working on consistency, and tracking progress over multiple sessions
Shot Analysis mode provides detailed breakdowns of each shot you take. It delivers comprehensive metrics such as club speed, ball speed, carry distance, total distance, smash factor, and spin. Golfers can review each swing’s data, compare it against benchmarks, and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you can record your swing during each shot for visual feedback, and easily share the Shot Analysis report—including video and data—with your coach for further guidance and instruction.
The Performance Center is designed for in-depth training and skill development. Here, users can set up customized drills and training exercises, focusing on specific aspects of their game such as accuracy, distance control, or shot shaping. Golfers have the option to select a target handicap and utilize strokes gained analysis to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses, allowing for more focused improvement. Additionally, users can choose a variety of distances to practice, rather than repeatedly hitting shots from the same spot, which helps develop more versatile and effective practice habits.
Map My Bag allows golfers to test and record the distances for each club in their bag. By hitting several shots with each club, the system maps out average carry distances and dispersion patterns, helping you understand your equipment and make more informed club selections on the course.
Target Practice mode lets you select specific targets and practice hitting to defined locations on the virtual range. It’s an effective way to work on precision, shot shaping, and trajectory control. Users receive instant feedback on their accuracy and can adjust their technique as needed. The mode also allows you to simulate real-world scenarios by practicing shots over sand traps, trees, and water hazards, helping you prepare for challenging situations you may encounter on the course.
